CAFE AT LEWERS | 86 River Rd, Emu Plains
If you’re a local, you’ll know this little hidden gem all too well, but for many, you may not yet have experienced this beautiful spot – Cafe at Lewers. And trust us, you need to!
A pretty little rustic outdoor (undercover) garden cafe, just over the bridge. Before you even get there, the drive along the nepean river is so pretty, and you’ll see lots of locals walking, running, walking their dog and bike riding along the river.

The Cafe is ALWAYS busy, so make sure you book ahead. The food is simply amazing! We went for brunch and had the eggs benedict, it was soooo good. Tasy, filling, a good portion size, and the coffee was nice too. We can understand why it’s so popular! You look out onto pretty gardens with all sorts of flowers, and there’s a great grass area the kiddies can run around. There’s also additional tables outside with umbrellas.

Around the garden is a little path you can walk and explore, and throughout you’ll find these little plaques with mesages from the garden creators, information about the flowers, and you can follow each one with the kids and read them out, which leads to the next one. It’s quite sweet and quaint.

The pretty garden cafe is actually attached to the Penrith Regional Gallery, so while you’re there, make sure you have a stroll through the two galleries of amazing art. We took a nice walk through and really took a moment to take in the beautiful artwork.
