Winter time is always a challenge for parents to find something you can do with the kids, getting out of the house, but being a little more limited with water play and beach trips out of the question. A great activity for the whole family that is fun, relaxing and also support our local farmers, is fruit picking!
It’s apple picking season at the moment, so it’s the perfect time to go pick some apples….and eat one along the way. All of the orchards are CASH ONLY, so no Eftpos available. Mandarins are also in fruit picking season.
Bilpin is the place to visit for fruit picking – specifically apples. But the season is coming to an end, so you’d best be quick (finishes end of June!) A beautiful part of the Hawkesbury and lower blue mountains area, Bilpin itself has a lot to do and offer for a day out.
